There are several components to the Active Workspace Client.

The data model is the client-specifi c model required for the Active Workspace

The awc.war file is an additional deployment. This fil e is generated and
0 k) `; F0 G2 b0 F2 }, @configured by selecting the Active Workspace Client solution in TEM, with all5 S2 d j+ _9 e' g% ^4 T
features that contribute to the Active Workspace Client. @6 j+ M& v8 Y: l, m0 W
This .war file can be deployed on the same application server that hosts the' e2 ^6 K) t& x3 o
TC.ear file and the Teamcenter J2EE middle tier. This is the user facing web# K. `9 z2 v* s1 `$ X1 F: M
application and serves as the host to web proxies that connect to the existing7 K5 k% Y' l, O+ u
Teamcenter SOA and File Services. You must deploy the awc.war fil e on an
+ N9 @' S6 G4 h* \0 p* }) pexisting server, much like the traditional Teamcenter web client (J2EE middle" v5 u( x, m: h% q/ v
tier).+ e6 Y- k6 y4 s( x; Y
• Visualization Server Manager
{& h& j' ~0 A7 c5 Z1 r" c5 nThe Active Workspace Client delivers 3D visualization throUGh a pool of
, I7 e# e& T7 ]5 [! n& D" @rendering servers. Each server runs a single Visualization Server Manager! q2 E# c: [2 C- Q% E
component, which manages as many VisServer rendering processes as required.
: l0 z3 r: `. F: vFor Active Workspace Client 2.0, only a single rendering server is supported.6 }+ ]) g! L, [( I2 O; M" X: t
Note You cannot run the Visualization Server Manager on a virtual machine/ S, _7 j1 n: s& a
as it requires hardware graphics support.$ J7 @3 ]1 s& ^6 Z) N0 J% O" G: l$ t

• TcFTSIndexer client# Z0 J* r& B3 W8 k" Z1 G" X, j
This is a 4-tier client used to export Teamcenter data for importing into the
! o8 E' {1 e( i0 T1 sSolr database. It uses Dispatcher to execute Query, TieExport, Transform4 w8 ^' E' \( ~9 ~
and load operations. This is installed and configured by selecting the Full
% |, G$ R( m$ N. `! a+ RText Search Indexer feature in TEM, and by installing Dispatcher with7 \/ g! V& ?" B1 C$ H
tcftsindexer_queryuids, tcftsindexer_tieexport, tcftsindexer_transform,% P x+ D5 N% p' m& g
and tcftsindexer_load services. The TcFTSIndexer is run directly for the, {' D$ V) D+ F4 l
initial indexing and run periodically (scheduled) for subsequent updates.& P+ i& ]/ V" w* Q2 y8 k t
• Solr database
1 ~. R" A* H$ nA Solr database is required for storing Teamcenter data for full-text search. This! d: E& O, w, A% h/ P1 Q
can be an existing deployment or installed specifically for use by the Active
; X1 m( G0 @' e9 m k3 BWorkspace Client. If an existing installation is used, there are configuratio n and- }$ g- u5 G- [) K, n
schema changes required to accommodate the Teamcenter data.
