You can use the Teamcenter thin client to export assemblies to native NX. This is the preferred method for exporting assemblies if you are working in a high latency four-tier Teamcenter environment.

Setup for the Teamcenter thin client

The Export NX Assembly command in the thin client Structure Manager uses the NX cloning function to perform the export. The revision rule configured in Structure Manager is used for the export.

To enable this functionality:

• Set the Teamcenter preference WEB_show_export_nx_assy_menu=TRUE

Export NX assembly using Teamcenter thin client

• In the Teamcenter thin client Structure Manager, select the Item Revision that conatins the assembly. The current configuration of the assembly is exported.
• Choose Tools tab→Export NX Assembly. A dialog box is displayed that provides additional options for exporting.
• In the dialog box, select Export Non-Masters to export all of the associated non-master parts. Select Export Associated Files to export the associated files with the parts, such as JPEGs, CAE solution files, and so on. Click OK.
  A translation request is generated to export the NX assembly on the ETS module machine. While this is occurring you can continue to use the thin client.
• After the translation request is complete, a window is displayed informing you that the export job is complete.
  
  
  • If export is successful, the information window provides a link to the location where you can download the files.
  • If export has failed, the information window provides the reasons for the failure.
